Elle Priehs, 19, the owner of Ghost Beauty, says her venture has been going really well and she plans to stay at the site for the duration of her seven-year-long lease.

The beautician, who opened the site in St Stephens Road at the beginning of January, had built up a rich client base at her former workplace, Hair and Beauty Matters, next door.

She said: "I haven't opened my own business to spite them at the other salon at all.

"I get on really well with all the staff there.

"I don't want to create any competition.

"This was the right move for me.

"It's been going really well.

"I see this as a forever career.

"I have signed a seven-year lease and see myself staying here for that period, if not longer.

Ms Priehs added she doesn't like to say she is fully booked and is looking to recruit more staff.

She said: " I will always work into the evenings or weekends if I need to.

"In the next few weeks, I will have some more beauticians joining me at the salon.

"I advertised the rooms online and I was looking for self-employed people ideally.

"Most of them reached out to me.

"I have had lots of customers just walking in.

"I can't see myself moving anytime soon.

"I love Norwich and the city."

The salon was named after Ms Prieh's Blue Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Ghost.

She said: "When I was training as a beautician, there was a lot of theory involved.

"He was the best support animal, and when it came to naming the salon I wanted it to be personal to me.

"If it's quiet and I know the clients I have in, he will come with me to work."
