Norfolk Paddle Boards has revealed that, from the weekend of April 11 and 12, people can once more hire boards from its base at the Lion's Den.

The announcement follows a silent disco on the river for the company's first social paddle of the season on Monday.

Since the start of the year, Norfolk Paddle Boards has also hosted several AquaPaddle sessions, when people undertake a timed 5km paddle along the Wensum.

The Lion's Den was launched in 2024 by Lee Taylor, who owns and runs Norfolk Paddle Boards from the site next to the Red Lion Bishopsgate.

Visitors can enjoy sauna sessions, cold plunges and hot drinks right on the banks of the river before or after paddle boarding, depending on availability.

Standard paddle board hire costs £12 per person and is available to book now.

It is strongly recommended that those looking to enjoy a sauna session also prebook.
