Hidden tribute to much-missed Norfolk businessman on GoGoSafari sculpture

Mr Plastic is a well-known company in the region, but most people are probably unaware of is the impact its managing director had on the county.

Andy Cole was a generous and kind-hearted man who raised thousands of pounds for various causes including Parkinson’s disease and the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital’s (N&N) neo-natal intensive care unit and children’s ward.

He also helped raised funds for Break, a local charity that supports young people in care and organiser of the GoGo trails.

Andy Cole with Mr Plastic's GoGo dinosaur at the N&N (Image: Mr Plastic) In 2022, Andy took part in the GoGoDiscover dinosaur trail and sponsored local artist Franklin Rackham’s SirDavidsaurusRex.

The dinosaur went on to win the "best designed" prize and today can be found at the N&N where it continues to raise money for the Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital.

Stacey Ford, director of Mr Plastic and Andy's eldest daughter, said: “We were over the moon when it was announced that this year, Franklin had dedicated and named the rhino sculpture Andy.”
