Adrian Bell, who taught sociology, passed away at the age of 82 in May this year - two months to the day after being admitted to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital following a fall at home.

But an inquest into his death, held on Thursday, was told his mobility had gradually declined over the last 18 months of his life, stemming from a fall he suffered in Spain.
