While not all schools opted to reveal how their pupils got on, the results nationally saw a rise in the percentage of top grades handed out.

The full results are as follows, with some schools supplying a comment from headteachers instead.

Andy Cole, head of sixth form, said: "We are incredibly proud of our students, who have again achieved results well above the national average. Building on last year’s record-breaking success which made us the top performing sixth form for progress in the area, this year’s outcomes show that our sixth form is thriving, with students progressing to top universities, apprenticeships and careers. Our overall pass rate is 100pc. This is in no small part due to their hard work and dedication, the support of their parents and the tireless efforts of the staff here at Attleborough Academy."

Jo Philpott, headteacher at City of Norwich School, said: “Everyone at CNS is thrilled by the fantastic A-Level achievements of our students. The class of 2025 is a credit to themselves, their families and CNS, and we are thrilled by their achievements which have enabled students to progress to their chosen university courses, including several prestigious university places, and exciting apprenticeships and employment opportunities. I am very proud of our students and their contribution to the wider school and local community and wish them every success in their chosen pathways. My thanks to CNS’s brilliant staff who have taught and guided our students through their sixth form journey and our parents/carers for their support.”........
