The council's food hygiene inspectors say they are "closely monitoring" Shah Jalal on Guardian Road.

They had already slammed the business with a 0-star hygiene rating after an inspection found "urgent improvement" was needed over the hygienic handling of food including "preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage".

Inspectors wrote cleanliness and the condition of the facilities and building, along with the management of food safety - which involves checks to ensure food sold or served is safe to eat - also needed improvement.
