Around 70 people took part in the demonstration outside the Brook Hotel in Bowthorpe on Sunday, September 28, significantly less than on previous occasions.

The disagreement between members of the protesting group spilled over into the carpark outside The Clocktower pub before police intervened.

Earlier, the demonstrators had gathered as usual outside The Norkie pub before marching to the hotel, where they chanted, "I'm England 'til I die" and "shut the Brooke".
