Scaremongering claim as County Hall Tories say shake-up threatens care for children
Senior Conservatives at Norfolk County Council, which is currently the only council with responsibility for children's services, say splitting that role to two or three councils could have serious repercussions.

The county council has nine residential children’s homes in the county, four short breaks homes and two New Roads residential hubs - all of which are rated as good or outstanding by watchdogs.
The homes and hubs support children and young people in or at risk of coming into care.
But leaders are worried about the impact when all eight councils in Norfolk are scrapped and replaced with a new unitary council or councils - which would provide all services in their areas - under the Labour government's plans for local government reorganisation.........
