Pollution warnings over dogs swimming in Norfolk rivers
The Broads Authority (BA) has joined calls to spread awareness about the dangers to aquatic wildlife caused by chemicals found in spot-on flea treatments.
Scientists revealed earlier this year that high concentrations of fipronil - one of the insecticides used in anti-flea treatments for dogs and cats - had been found in the river Wensum.

It is believed the chemical, which harms aquatic life such as the larvae of mayfly and dragonfly, has got into the river from dogs swimming in it.
