How extra £15m of Norfolk pothole cash will be spent
But council bosses say the remaining £13.3m will be spent maintaining roads to stop the holes from forming in the first place.
Conservative-run County Hall was informed in December that the Labour government was awarding more than £56m for highways maintenance next year, £15m more than had been anticipated.
At a recent meeting of the council's cabinet, Labour county councillor Matthew Reilly asked what proportion of the £15m had been ringfenced for potholes.
