Council tax hike warning for thousands in Norfolk as leaders rue 'gloomy' future
Andrew Jamieson, deputy leader at Conservative-run County Hall and cabinet member for finance, said the provisional local government finance settlement - where the government outlines funding for councils - was "at the negative end" of expectations.

And he said the government's funding assumptions "baked in" a 5pc increase in the authority's share of council tax - when the authority's own plans had been modelled on a 3pc increase.
The government's figures show Norfolk would get £454.4m for 2026/27 and that the authority's core spending power - which includes the government grant plus money which........
