Livia Oosterlee and Evelynn Mathew, both 18 and students at Gorleston's East Norfolk Sixth Form College, achieved top marks in their A-level subjects and learned their place was secure this morning.

Livia got an A* in both Law and Spanish and got an A in English Literature, and in September will begin life at Cambridge's Corpus Christi College.

While Evelynn got an A* in Chemistry and Physics and an A in Maths, and in September will begin life at Cambridge's Newnham College.
