The Curry Pot, on Fakenham Road in Taverham, was told "major improvement" was necessary by the Food Standards Agency following a surprise inspection – but has since bounced back with a four-star rating.

Owner and chef Abdul Hamid had been away visiting family in Bangladesh at the time of the initial inspection, leaving the business in the hands of his staff members.
