Last orders: Norfolk landlords warn pubs could 'disappear' by 2050
Figures have revealed that 209 pubs were either demolished or repurposed for other uses in the first half of this year.
The decline has seen the total number of pubs in England and Wales fall to 38,780.
Landlords blame the closures on the “crippling” taxes introduced by the government in last October’s budget.
