Saul Press, owner of the Beer Hatch in Norwich, started out delivering excess stock for pubs and breweries after finding himself unemployed during the pandemic.

In August 2022, he opened the Beer Hatch – the ‘UK’s smallest off-license’ - inside a red telephone box in Tombland, stocking a range of local craft beers and real ales from across East Anglia.

He has since relocated his business to 22a Wensum Street, opening his own shop next to the Ribs of Beef pub.
