Ellyse Perry's 90 in vain as UP Warriorz clinch historic Super Over to beat RCB
New Delhi: UP Warriorz won the thrilling match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the match no.9 of the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 played at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. This was the very first instance of the match entering into the Super Over phase to determine a result in the WPL history.
The two teams levelled scores at 180 after the stipulated period of 20 overs per innings. While RCB posted 180 for 6 in the first innings, the UP Warriorz were bowled out for 180 on the final ball of the match.
After the two innings couldn’t decide the winner, the match followed the Super Over – a tiebreaker format in cricket – to decide the winner.
