New Delhi: Bowlers put Sri Lanka on top on the first day of the second Test match against Bangladesh in Colombo on Wednesday. Debutant spin bowler Sonal Dinusha and pacers Vishwa Fernando and Asitha Fernando claimed two wickets each on the opening day to help the hosts restrict the visitors for a score of 220/8 at stumps.

Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto had won the toss and elected to bat first with an aim to build a big total but all his plans were laid to rest against the impeccable bowling attack by the Lankans. The visiting side underwent a nervous start losing their first wicket with the score on just 5 runs.
