Marshall Major V Review: Retro style meets extra long battery

Marshall is back with another pair of stylish headphones that carry the brand’s signature rock-and-roll vibe. The Major V, priced at ₹14,900, brings back that vintage amp-inspired design with an extra dose of battery power. We’re talking up to 100 hours of playback—yes, really. But are these headphones just riding on nostalgia, or do they offer enough to justify the price tag in 2025?

Having used the Major V for a couple of weeks, here’s our no-nonsense breakdown of what works, what doesn’t, and who should actually buy these.

Marshall Major V Review: The Retro looks stand out in the crowd.

If you’ve seen any Marshall gear, the Major V won’t surprise you. The grainy faux leather, the brass control knob, and the classic logo are all still here. They look straight out of a rock studio from the ‘70s—but in a good way.

They’re also lightweight at about 184 grams and fold inwards, which is useful since Marshall doesn’t include a carry case. Yes, in a box that costs nearly ₹15,000, you still don’t get a pouch. Big miss.

Comfort-wise, it’s a mixed bag. The padding is decent, but after two hours, we started feeling a bit of pressure around my ears. It’s the kind of headphone........
