New Delhi: India Women comfortably chased down a 127-run target set by England to notch up their first T20I series victory on English soil.

With the victory, India took an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series, with the fifth and final game set to be played at Edgbaston on Saturday.

After six previous series defeats, it was the first time that India Women won a T20I bilateral series of over two matches in England.

The victory assumes significance as it arrives less than a year before they return to England for the T20 World Cup title.

On Wednesday, India’s spinners – Radha Yadav and Shree Charani – were at the top of their game at Old Trafford.
