Bumrah, Jadeja and Root retain top spot in ICC Test rankings
New Delhi: India’s pace spearhead, premier all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and England’s premier batter Joe Root have maintained their top spots in the latest ICC Test rankings that was released on Wednesday.
With 888 rating points Root kept his hold at the No. position after making 34 runs in England’s one-off Test against Zimbabwe in Nottingham. But his team-mate Harry Brook trimmed the gap to 15 points with a 58-run knock in the same match.
New Zealand’s Kane Williamson (867), India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (847) and Australia ace Steve Smith (823) all remain very cose to each oter as a new World Test Championship cycle begins in June.
