Zelenskyy meets Jaishankar in Kyiv, thanks India for backing peace

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked India for its stated commitment to ending the Russia-Ukraine war after meeting External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in Kyiv. Zelenskyy also highlighted threats to civilian shipping in the Black Sea, criticised disruptions to food supplies and urged major powers to push for lasting peace.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday thanked India for its stated commitment to ending the Russia-Ukraine war after meeting External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in Kyiv.

Zelenskyy said the two leaders discussed key issues linked to the ongoing conflict and highlighted what he described as India’s clear position in favour of peace.
