Sisodia went from Patparganj to Jangpura, will the travel pay or backfire?
It is not going to be easy for Manish Sisodia from Jangpura. And he knows it. Senior AAP leader and former deputy chief minister of Delhi, Sisodia spent the last day of campaigning for the February 5 Delhi elections in his constituency and held a road show later in the day. Among other things, Sisodia urged people to vote for the party that works on the ground and has a proven track record for the development of the city instead of the “gali-galoch party” (referring to BJP) and which “indulges in politics of hatred and vendetta.”
Instead of a whirlwind tour of several constituencies across the state, if the senior leader of the party is slogging in his constituency on the last day of the campaign, it is an ample sign that he is feeling the heat. The recent declaration by Union Home Minister Amit Shah that both “bade miyan and chhote miyan” (AAP Convener Arvind Kejriwal and Sisodia) are losing the assembly elections has only made life more difficult for Sisodia. He barely managed to win by a margin of around 3000 votes last time (Patparganj constituency). Has the BJP really cornered Sisodia this time, or is it just bombastic rhetoric by the home minister?
