Porsche could phase out Taycan by 2030: Reports

Porsche is reportedly phasing down the production of the Taycan by 2030. The reports come after the new 2027 generation of the Taycan was launched.

New Delhi: Porsche might phase out the Taycan by 2030 according to reports by German business magazine WirtschaftsWoche. This happens to come into reports just months after the 2027 Taycan was unveiled. There were reports a while back that Porsche is planning to merge the Taycan and Panamera nameplates. 

After it hit a peak figure of 40,960 units in 2023, the worldwide sales in 2025 saw a 60 per cent dip to 16,339 units. Such poor numbers have led Porsche to stop production of the Taycan several times over the years, as reported by Autocar UK. Apart from a phased ramp-down, Porsche’s plan for the Taycan also included an immediate pause in its production,........
