OpenAI launches GPT-6 Astra; calls it major leap in AI capability

OpenAI launches GPT-6 Astra with Greg Brockman, president of OpenAI noting that the model could potentially represent the arrival of artificial general intelligence (AGI).

New Delhi: OpenAI has unveiled its newest artificial intelligence model, GPT-6 Astra. The brand has called it as its most capable system yet. The launch happens as OpenAI looks to regain the technological edge over rival Anthropic. The $852 billion AI company said Astra delivers leading performance in areas including software development, scientific work and cybersecurity. 

The launch comes at a time when concerns around AI-related security risks are growing after many high-profile cyber incidents. Greg Brockman, president of OpenAI, called Astra a “generational leap” in AI capabilities. He further suggested that the model could potentially represent the arrival of artificial general intelligence (AGI).
