McLaren hints at first manual supercar in decades; design takes cue from M6GT

McLaren could be bringing a manual gearbox soon following in the footsteps of manual-equipped Ferrari 12Cilindri. Details about the gearbox remains under wraps still.

New Delhi: McLaren is making a manual supercar as could be inferred from its latest Instagram post. There was a short teaser video open with footage of the McLaren M6GT, which was the brand’s first road car, which had a five-speed manual gearbox. Just three prototypes had ever been made.

The teaser then shows something new, and the end of the shot shows a hand pulling back at a shifter. The teaser has Bruce McLaren saying it is........
