California: An incredible sight unfolded along California’s central coast as more than 1,500 Risso’s dolphins surged through Carmel Bay in a rare and breathtaking “super pod” formation.

Captain Evan Brodsky of Monterey Bay Whale Watch, who captured drone footage of the event, described the scene as surreal. “They stretched across the horizon as far as I could see,” he said.

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Risso’s dolphins typically move in smaller groups of just 10 to 30, making such a gathering an extraordinary........
