Maxwell, Marsh shine as Australia win third T20I by 2 wickets to clinch series 2-1
New Delhi: Australia defeated South Africa by 2 wickets in the third and final T20I at Cazaly’s Stadium in Cairns on Saturday, August 16. The hosts clinched the three-match series by 2-1. Chasing a target of 173 runs, Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Marsh played sensational innings to help the Aussies win with a ball to spare.
Australia got off to a good start after opting to bowl first, as Josh Hazlewood removed Aiden Markram for 1 run in the opening over of the match. Lhuan-dre Pretorius batted with a positive intent and smashed five boundaries in the powerplay, but he was dismissed by Nathan Ellis for 24.
Ryan Rickelton was removed by Adam Zampa for 13, as he tried to play the premeditated sweep shot........
