New Delhi: Four asteroids, 2025 CM, 2025 CA1, 2025 CQ, and 2025 CC, among a new group of near-Earth objects (NEOs) recently detected, have caught the attention of scientists. One asteroid will make a near approach that astronomers consider notable.

Scientists discovered the four asteroids in early February and classified them as Aten and Apollo types because these groups exhibit Earth-crossing orbits. The approaching space rocks require sustained observation even though they do not currently present any threat to Earth’s safety.
