Indore: Major unrest emerged in Indore’s Padhrinath police station area on Wednesday after 28 members of the transgender community reportedly attempted suicide by ingesting phenyle. This collective action was undertaken in protest against perceived police inaction following a rape and extortion case implicating individuals who had posed as journalists.
All 28 individuals were promptly transported to Maharaja Yeshwantrao (MY) Hospital, where they are currently receiving medical treatment and are under thorough observation by hospital staff.
