Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is trying very hard, from getting haircuts in ordinary salons to making chocolates with factory women, repairing bikes, driving with truck drivers, and undertaking the Bharat Jodo Yatra crisscrossing north, south, east and west of India twice, just to ensure that his Congress party bounces back from the deep pit it had fallen since 2014 when Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of India.

Now with the voting for Delhi elections set to take place on February 5, Rahul has once again started a new crusade called the White T-Shirt Movement. Launched on Sunday, this campaign is for the poor and working class and as per the Congress. The white T-shirt is not just a piece of cloth, but a symbol of protecting the Constitution and standing up for justice, Rahul said.

In the past, while taking on PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi has been giving statements like, Modi works only for the rich people while also accusing him of thinking only about the betterment of Adani and Ambani. On his part Rahul has constantly been trying to show his presence among the workers and listen to their problems by sometimes doing woodwork, bike repair, working with farmers etc.

With Rahul’s White T-Shirt movement, Congress claims that workers working in different sectors will be united and get justice and rights. This campaign is targeting economic inequality and social justice. The sudden launch of this campaign just 15 days ahead of the voting for Delhi polls shows that the Congress has not been able to decide on what issues it should fight polls.

Here it is worth noting that, unlike the Congress, the BJP is known to decide the issues for every election as per the public sentiments of that particular state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also focuses on the issues of each seat in polls. However, Congress is not able to decide the issues and strategy accordingly and thus the party starts campaigns randomly.
