New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta marked her first 100 days in office today with a spirited defence of her administration’s record, outlining a raft of welfare measures and vowing to steer clear of “false promises” in a pointed rebuke of the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.

Addressing a packed gathering at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Gupta said her government had prioritised policy-making over political posturing since taking office earlier this year. “My government spent 100 days in making policies and working for the betterment of Delhi,” she said. “We can’t make false promises.
