International airlines hit by 5% ATF price rise; domestic airlines exempted
The price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) was increased by 5 per cent on May 1, 2026 as crude oil prices remained on the higher side.
New Delhi: The price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF), or jet fuel, was raised by 5 per cent for international airlines on Friday. Domestic airlines have been exempted from the ATF price hike. This marked the second straight monthly rise in jet fuel rates.
The ATF price were raised as the crude oil prices have been surging because of the West Asia conflict. The oil companies pass on the global surge in energy prices in a calibrated manner. Notably, the domestic airlines will not be affected with the ATF price hike.
