Rohit Sharma has reportedly been informed by the Ajit Agarkar-led selection panel that he is not in India's scheme of things for the 2027 ODI World Cup. The 3rd ODI against England at Lord's is likely to be Rohit's last game for India.

New Delhi: Rohit Sharma could be playing his last game for India when the visitors lock horns with England in the third and final ODI of the three-match series at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London on Sunday, July 20. Rohit has reportedly been informed by the Ajit Agarkar-led selection panel that he is not part of India’s plans for the 2027 ODI World Cup.

Having retired from T20Is and Tests, the Hitman is active for India only in ODIs and has publicly expressed his desire to continue till the next year’s ODI World Cup on several occasions in the past. However, India’s selection committee has decided to move on from the senior batter in order to give chances to youngsters as the team prepares for the 2027 World Cup.
