New Delhi: South Africa head coach Shukri Conrad said he had no intention to cause malice as he broke his silence on his ‘grovel’ comment on Team India during the recently concluded Test series between the two sides. Grovel admitted his controversial remark took the sheen away from his team’s historic 2-0 victory in the Test series against India.
Conrad used the term grovel for India after the conclusion of Day 4’s play between India and South Africa in the 2nd Test in Guwahati. With South Africa on top in the Test match at the time, the Proteas head coach’s comment, which has a racial overture, sparked fury.
