The Issue: Andrew Cuomo’s decision to remain in the NYC mayoral race on an independent ballot line.
If former Gov. Andrew Cuomo really cared about New York City, he would have dropped out of the mayoral race a long time ago and made sure his name was not on the ballot in the fall election (“Oh no, Cuo won’t go,” June 28).
He has no chance of winning and should have put his full support behind Eric Adams instead of splitting votes.
Although Adams is no bargain, he’s better than what could be coming.
I guess Cuomo’s ego and quest for power are more important than the people he’s supposed to serve.

Cuomo must have the biggest ego in the history of big egos: He lost in the primary, and now he has decided to run as an independent in the election in November.
