Californians knew it, and Gavin Newsom’s secret calendar confirmed it.

The governor has checked out of his day job.

Newsom is on pace to skip out on a staggering 54 workdays in 2026, after logging zero government business on 18 tax-funded workdays in the first four months of the year.

And that doesn’t include 53 datebook entries simply labeled “work time,” or the 17 entries that were at least partially redacted.

So much for the transparency Newsom likes to boast about.

The gov only released his calendars after months of delay and legal action by The Post’s lawyers –– and what he shared is incomplete. 

What does that tell us?

This much did pop off the pages: California has a governor focused not on his state, but on himself.
