Jane Kim is running for California insurance commissioner. But she doesn’t know why.
The former San Francisco supervisor sat down for an interview with Sacramento’s KCRA, and was asked, quite simply, whether she had any relevant experience.
So KCRA’s Ashley Zavala asked again, and again.
Answer: Word salad, with word salad dressing.
Zavala then asked Kim: “If you are elected, what would be your first action as state insurance commissioner?”
Her answer, verbatim:
“Well, my first action wouldn’t be that sexy. Um, I, um, essentially am running to be a head of a state agency. And so we would have to invest our time getting to know the organization, the senior leadership, and how it functions.”
Hello? Shouldn’t you know about that before you run?
Kim showed no sense of urgency, no understanding of the insurance crisis that is affecting everyone in California who owns property or hopes to buy it.
The state’s home insurance market is collapsing, thanks........
