Unemployment Is Not The Final

As children, we dream of great things, but as we age, we come to realize how challenging it can be to make them a reality. In Kashmir, the youth are faced with a harsh reality: unemployment. Jammu & Kashmir leads the nation in unemployment, with an alarming 32 percent joblessness rate in urban regions among job seekers. Although this issue is widespread in Kashmir, there are solutions that can be implemented to overcome it. Three categories of people can respond in various ways to help resolve this issue. Young people must stay positive during these challenging times. A constructive mindset is key to overcoming challenges. Parents of the youth and the government also have important roles in tackling this issue.
Reservation: A Subject for the Government to Reflect On
Reservation contributes significantly to the growing unemployment rate in Jammu and Kashmir. Reservation in government jobs often reserves a significant portion of opportunities for specific groups. This can lead to heightened competition for those in the general category, limiting their chances of securing jobs. As a result, individuals from non-reserved categories find it harder to get jobs. Sometimes, individuals benefiting from reservation may lack the essential skills required for certain job positions, especially in a highly competitive job market. Meanwhile, individuals in the general category who have the necessary skills and educational qualifications are frequently overlooked and unable to secure jobs.
