Bogg Bag Is Expanding Production Out of China, Offering a Playbook for Uncertain Times
Founder and CEO Kim Vaccarella explains how she’s adapting her supply chain in response to tariffs.

To mitigate the impact of tariffs levied by the Trump administration, Bogg Bag is diversifying its supply chain beyond China.
The Lodi, New Jersey-based company, which makes the viral perforated plastic tote bags that have a cult following, will start manufacturing bags in Vietnam and Sri Lanka. Founder and CEO Kim Vaccarella just approved samples from Vietnam and expects that factory to ramp up production within the next 30 to 40 days. If everything goes to plan with these new facilities, she says the company could pull its entire supply chain out of China.
“When it was 10 percent, that was manageable. When it’s flipped to 20 percent, that becomes a little less manageable at the volume that we’re doing,” says Vaccarella, whose business generated more than $100 million in revenue in 2024 and expects to double that this year. With all the frequent policy changes coming out of the Trump administration, she was hoping for a delay in implementation, but says increased import duties start kicking in on all shipments after February 1.
