Yes, You're Ill – Please Take Your Sick Leave

Calling in sick still seems to be contentious in many workplaces despite the fact that we’ve lived through a pandemic and seen the result of not staying at home when you’re ill.

While workplace sick policy shifts company to company, the general rule is you have a certain number of days you’re entitled to be paid while off sick and a number of days you can take before a doctor’s note is needed (usually, it’s about five consecutive days).

We’re telling you, when you’re sick, take the sick days – you’re entitled to them for a reason.

Flu? Sick leave. Bad mental health day? Sick leave. Agonising period cramps? Sick leave.

You don’t need to feel guilty for looking after your health. If anything, the quicker you take........
