People Are Just Realising There's A Word For When A Powerful Song Gives You Chills
Have you ever listened to a powerful song and felt chills down your spine? Or perhaps you’ve witnessed a movie moment that’s left you with goosebumps?
Well, I (and plenty of other people, it turns out) didn’t realise until recently that there’s actually a word for that sensation. You’re experiencing something known as frisson.
According to Merriam-Webster, frisson is “a brief moment of emotional excitement” and it derives from the French word for “shiver”.
Brittani Farrell is a voice teacher based in New York City. In a moving clip shared to Instagram, Farrell filmed herself experiencing frisson while listening to Golden for the first time.
For the uninitiated, Golden is a song from Netflix’s hit movie KPop Demon Hunters, which children everywhere (and parents, to be fair) are a little bit obsessed........
