Kids Are Saying 'Let's Get Sendy' And Even Gen Alpha Are Scratching Their Heads
Hot off the heels of everything being “six-sevennnnnn”, the youth have another catchphrase that’s baffling parents, teachers and teenagers alike.
Just this week, someone took to Reddit’s r/Teachers forum to ask fellow educators if they were hearing kids say “sendy” in the classroom.
The teacher said their eighth grade pupils (typically aged 13 or 14 years old) were saying “I’m so sendy” or “you’re not as sendy as me”.
“I can’t figure this one out. Anyone have any idea what this means?” they asked. “First day of school and they’re already driving me nuts.”
There were a few guesses as to what it could mean. One suggested it derived from snowboarding and means “confident”, to “go big” or “brave”.
Another said it came from a podcast: “Back in high school, we used to say ‘let’s send it,’ but ‘let’s get sendy’ seems to be a newer version of that phrase. It basically means to go all out or do something without........
