Charlie Hunnam has addressed the controversy surrounding the latest season of Netflix’s Monster.

The former Sons of Anarchy star takes the lead in the new series, which has held the top spot on Netflix’s most-watched chart since it began streaming last week.

However, despite its popularity, like past seasons of Monster, The Ed Gein Story has also faced heavy criticism, with many accusing the show of sensationalising the horrific crimes of its central character.

In an interview, Charlie – who plays the notorious serial killer Ed Gein in the show – took on this criticism during a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
