James Cleverly Is Returning To The Tory Frontbench. That Spells Trouble For Kemi Badenoch

Despite her spokesman bizarrely claiming in January that there would be no Tory reshuffle before the next election, Kemi Badenoch is carrying out a shake-up of her top team.
The Conservative leader has been partly forced into it by shadow health secretary Edward Argar’s decision to stand down for health reasons.
But after a less-than-stellar first eight months in the job, it gives Badenoch the chance to carry out a much-needed a refresh of the Tory frontbench.
Details of how big a reshuffle it is going to be remain sketchy, but we do know that it will see the return to frontline politics of James Cleverly.
It is not known what job Cleverly will get, but it is surely inconceivable that he will not be handed a significant role befitting his status.
