The Green Party has overtaken Labour for the first time ever in an opinion poll.

Under their new leader, London Assembly member Zack Polanski, the Greens have crept into second place behind Reform UK.

They are now on 17% while Labour and the Conservatives are one point behind on 16%.

According to Find Out Now pollsters, the Greens’ small lead comes after they secured an extra two points in the last week.

Nigel Farage’s party continues lead on 32%, according to the pollster, while the Liberal Democrats come in fifth place at 12%.

In response to the poll, Polanski wrote on X: “We’re just getting started. Time to lower bills. And tax billionaires. If you want to see the Green Party take on Reform – this is the moment.”
