Gary Neville Blames 'Angry, Middle-Aged White Men' For Causing Divide In UK Society After Terror Attack
Gary Neville blamed "angry, middle-aged, white men" for fuelling divisions in UK society.
Gary Neville has blamed “angry, middle-aged white men” for dividing British society following last week’s Manchester terror attack.
Two people were killed and three more were injured last Thursday when Jihad Al-Shamie drove into a synagogue on Yom Kippur, while wielding a knife.
Police are also looking into a suspected hate crime after a mosque in Peacehaven, East Sussex, was set on fire on Saturday.
In a video posted on social media, the former England player pointed to the synagogue attack and warned: “We’re all being turned on each other.”
“The division that is being created is absolutely disgusting,” he said. “Mainly created by angry, middle-aged, white men, who know exactly what they’re doing.”
He said he had taken a Union Jack flag down recently, but not because he’s not patriotic.
“I’ve been building in this city for 15-20 years and no-one’s put a Union Jack up in the last 15-20 years, so why do you need to put one up now?” Neville........
