Keanu Reeves and Jonathan Groff made headlines at the 2025 Tony Awards

Things got real up close and personal between Keanu Reeves and Jonathan Groff at this year’s Tony Awards, and the internet is relishing in the moment.

During Sunday night’s ceremony, Jonathan suddenly exited the stage at New York’s Radio City music hall to approach the crowd while performing his Just In Time musical number.

In a totally unexpected move, he then leapt onto the armrests of his former Matrix Resurrections co-star Keanu’s chair and caressed his face and chest, prompting the crowd to laugh and applaud in response to the cheeky moment.

As Jonathan stroked Keanu’s face, the John Wick star reacted with a shocked look as he held his hands up. While Jonathan continued singing, Keanu then lifted up his hands to do a rock ’n’ roll hand gesture in front of the camera as the crowd continued cheering over the pair’s interaction.
