Ncuti Gatwa has opened up about his reasoning behind leaving Doctor Who after just two seasons.

The Sex Education star departed from his role as the Fifteenth Doctor after the season finale back in May, bringing his short tenure as the Time Lord to an end.

During the final episode, he regenerated into Billie Piper, though it hasn’t been officially announced whether she will take over as the next Doctor.

Speaking out in a new interview on the BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, the Barbie actor revealed his reasoning for leaving the beloved show.
