Despite a rather muted critical response, the fifth and final season of You has already generated a lot of interest among Netflix users.

As well as the return of series regulars Penn Badgley and Charlotte Ritchie, the final instalments of the unsettling psychological thriller/dark comedy/romantic drama (depending on who you ask), introduce us to a host of new additions to the cast.

Penn Badgley

Before the world knew him as Joe Goldberg, Penn was most famous for his work as Dan Humphrey in the high school drama Gossip Girl.

You might also remember his roles in the teen comedies Easy A and John Tucker Must Die, the family drama The Slap or Ariana Grande’s The Boy Is Mine music video.

In addition to his acting work, he has co-hosted the podcast Podcrushed – in which celebrity guests share embarrassing stories from their teen years – since 2022 alongside Nava Kavelin and Sophie Ansari.

Charlotte Ritchie

Charlotte Ritchie as Barbara Gilbert in Call The Midwife

Charlotte Ritchie’s first major TV role was as Oregon in the uni comedy Fresh Meat, and she later landed prominent roles in Call The Midwife, Ghosts and Dead Pixels.

She also played Mae Martin’s love interest in the Netflix dramedy Feel Good, competed on the 11th season of Taskmaster and appeared in Grantchester, the Partygate docudrama and the big-screen musical Wonka.
