Idris Elba plays a fictional US president in A House Of Dynamite

Netflix’s latest hit film A House Of Dynamite has sparked a response from the actual Pentagon.

Released on the streaming platform last week, A House Of Dynamite stars Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson and Anthony Ramos, and is the latest offering from Oscar-winning filmmaker Kathryn Bigelow, who was famously the first woman to ever be named Best Director at the Academy Awards for her work on The Hurt Locker (which also scooped Best Picture that same year).

An official synopsis for the film teases: “When a single, unattributed missile is launched at the United States, a race begins to determine who is responsible and how to respond.”
